peachgrower, have you considered having a professional come in and apply rotenone to the pond instead? I've done the seine, drain, and hydrated lime 5-6 times now, and it's much much easier to go eat lunch, and let professionals come in and handle it. Hydrated lime is nasty stuff.
Whatever method you choose, be prepared for fish disposal when the treatment is complete. You could easily have thousands of dead floating fish to deal with, and my experience has been to get them out of the pond the same day if possible. Critters of the night come from near and far once the smell gets around.
