Pond Boss Forums STOCKING A NEW POND Types of fish to choose Fish pond stocking

So i have many choises for my fish pond but they are different than you have so i can get "white fish",wels catfish,northern pike,burbot,normal and silver carp ,zander(european version of walleye) and european sturgeon.i want your plan on stockink a 15 x 6 pond with this fish.

Is your pond 15 x 6 meters or feet? How deep? Are you going to be feeding the fish? Will you be providing aeration?

Sorry i didnt saw yes the answer is 15x7 meters and with depth from 0,5 to 3 meters.and i will feed them earth worms bread mix for carp etc.

Ok. So your pond is approximately 1/39 of an acre with a maximum depth of about 10 feet. You will be supplemental feeding the fish but not providing aeration.

That would suggest, IMO, that you can have about 5 Kg of fish at any one time. For example, you could have 1 fish 5Kg or 5 fish 1Kg each or 10 fish 500gms each or ......

Please tell us about how you make a maggot dispenser.

first of i dont need to oxygenate when i have river and really good flow of water and make water fall and pond will heavy planted.
second for maggot dispenser i thinked of making maggot dispenser
they use for chickens(you can see it on youtube on justin rhodes channel)and just put it above pond with plank .and how big you would make this pond size if you wanted abot 50 kg of fish
