We are moving to our family home in Pomona, Missouri and would like to reclaim the pond that is there. The pond used to have catfish in it and was really clean and beautiful.
I am looking for information on how to reclaim ponds that are grown over and in disrepair? We are willing to do the work ourselves, but need some direction.

Could you tell us a little more about the pond? What do you mean when you say it is in disrepair? Has it filled up with dirt and muck? are weeds a big problem? Or is it basically cosmetic problems with land weeds surrounding it. All advice from the wonderful folks on this site will be based on how much specific information you can provide about the pond.

Welcome to pond boss and congratulations on moving back to the "home place". Before the experts on this board can answer your question, you might need to be a little more specific as to what problems in your pond you need to fix. What is the size of your pond, maximum depth, overall depth, water chemistry, soil composition, type of vegetation in pond, what your goals are for the pond,...
