The point here is: Fish that size available in the Spring [approaching age 1] indicates they are slow growers/leftovers/inferior fish the hatchery wants to dump. Intended as a warning to pond owners - that's the impetus for my post. Further, Cody advises against stocking expensive snacks...think we have it all covered.
