It's just a guess on my part that the damprid product would pull a lot of the moisture from the feed initially and do very little when it comes time to deal with outside humidity, not to mention rainy weather. I assume you are needing the 50 gallons of feed storage due to the frequency that you can add feed to the feeder. If that's not the case, only adding a few gallons of feed at a time might be possible to avoid moisture caking.
