Hiblow models or sizes have different psi ratings. For pond aeration it is best to have 1-2 more psi than one-half your pond depth. Example if pond is 12 ft deep(12/2) you really need 2psi+6psi = 8psi. Hiblow pumps rarely produce 6psi. These pumps are commonly promoted for use and work well in septic tanks which are 3ft-4ft deep. If your pond is only 3 -5 ft deep this is the pump for you.
