I thought ours would be done a month ago but this full moon has the GSF out in shallow water along with an occasional RES near the bank in the main pond. I see a few BG out a little deeper but the water clarity is not such that I can not see anything deeper than about 18".
In my forage pond I can see one 6" RES on a bed in 9" deep water then about 5 4" little guys protecting beds in only 6" deep water. One of the nests is no bigger than 6" in diameter.
What I do not know is if the larger RES are out on beds deeper. I would have thought they would have been done by now so not sure if this is a main spawn or just a secondary one with the late bloomers and the main spawn already being over.
