I have a � acre pond in Michigan that the ice is just now starting to let go. All around the edge where I have open water there is a lot of debris and filamentatous algae. I cleaned around the edges last fall and removed all the floating leaves and stuff that I could. The question is can I clean it our around the edges now without disturbing any future spawning activity? To do it right I will have to remove the floating debris and rake the bottom to remove the dead vegetation that the algae is clinging to.
