Live in southern Kansas have 5 acre pond that recieves alot of run off. When it rains pond over flow pipes can't keep up I have an 12" and 15"
diameter overflow pipes. The pipes are "S"shaped
in the dam with the inlet higher than the outlet
with it snaking down in the middle of the dam.
Wanted to know if venting the pipes 2 feet from the inlet would let the pipes flow the full diameter of water when the water gets above the top of the pipe. This letting the pond be pulled down by the pipes rather than going out the emergency spillway.
