woodster Junior Member W Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 134 Likes: 5 Waldo, Wisconsin	zuren I believe the idea is to stir up the muck so that aerobic microbes and bacteria can digest the muck. If the muck remains motionless it looses its oxygen and without oxygen it decays much much slower.
