No dye. I'm guessing because it is so dang shallow. I'd bet that thing averages about 3'

Are you saying that our good friend Rex "Rainman" Raines is responsible for that?

If so, fantastic! Way to go Rex!

Alum-sulphate treatment.

It flocks the floating particles and "drops" them out of solution.

Did the same for my pond. Rex is the Man when it comes to Alum treatments!

12 yr old pond, 1 ac, 15' deep.
RES, YP, GS, FHM (no longer), HBG (decreasing), SMB, and HSB (only two have been seen in 5 yrs)
I think that's about all I should put in my little pond.

Some more pictures of the Mdodson461 family pond...

The first picture was right after treating the pond with Aluminum Sulfate and Hydrated Lime. The rest of the pictures were after the pond settled completely overnight (about 14 hours). The Blue/Green aqua color is from the Hydrated Lime dissolved into the water, but the water with polarized glasses on was crystal clear.

You can see the lines on the bottom where catfish swam low and pushed the Floc off to the sides. The floc was very heavy and about a half in or more deep...

What a difference!
That blue color spooks me, though. Seeing fish around the edge, and that blue color suggests a rapid drop in pH, even though buffered by lime. My heart rate would've been high.
