There's an echo in here. grin

"Forget pounds and ounces, I'm figuring displacement!"

If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1)
And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1)
Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT?
PB answer: It depends.

I don't claim to be very politically correct or worldly for that matter, but trust that I do not mean to be degrading when I say that places like China really get me worked up. With that said, there's a lot of Chinese products around my home. These products serve a valuable purpose. Some of these items are of good quality and can't be found less expensive no matter where their made. Then there are the cheap products that can't hold a candle to their more expensive and high quality competitors, but have found their own competitive edge. I particularly like the tools that cost less than the local rental store can rent them for. I may only get a few jobs out of them and they can not be used up to their "on paper" rating, but they can get the job at hand done and maybe be there the next time.

Where I have the issue is in the area of ethics and morals. It would appear to me that these poorer countries (especially China) are willing to disregard what the majority of the world considers respectful with regards to the cost of research and development of said products. They are stealing the efforts of brilliant and dedicated peoples, some of which are my friends, family, and coworkers. It is because of this realization that I feel guilty buying anything "made in china".

I am excited for you Brettski and rather envious of your new equipment. Please don't take me as being a hater. It sounds like you have done great research and made some good decisions. I just couldn't resist spouting some of my personal feelings.

I believe countries like China will always be there and will strive to grow much like Japan has. I just wish they could do it with more concern for their fellow man. In the long run, the world will know them for what they are, not where they have gotten to.

Fish on!,
