I pull my feeder every year. Put the feeder in the shed and pull the battery and keep it in the heated shop.
All battery's should never sit on the ground for storage and should be kept warm. Battery's left on the ground will discharge and if the chemical reaction gets too cold and stops the battery will be junk so keep them warm.
