If you have more BG then an option would be to wait and let the BG out reproduce the GSF. Catch and keep all the GSF/hybrids you catch if you want to speed up the process. Likewise don't take out any BG for a while.

Appreciate the GSF Wr info. Should we allow for variance due to geography? I notice the chart was put together by someone from Texas Parks and Wildlife, does it include sampling from other regions as well?

It is uniform as those traits in general don't change but are certainly subject to local adaptation.

I fished for about two hours this afternoon using a small artificial worm with a tail and caught: 31 GSF from 3" to 6" long 5 LMB from 10" to 13" 1 BG about 5" long I did not weigh any of the fish because I only had a couple of hrs and I wanted to cull as many GSF as possible!The bites came a little slower than normal probably due to a fairly steady wind out of the SE.

To date we have caught and clipped 174 GSF and It seems like I am noticing fewer GSF when hand feeding.We fished with artificial bait on Tuesday for about 2.5 hours and caught 9 GSF and C&R 20-25 LMB and C&R 1 BG.I will continue to cull the GSF but I am pleased with their reduction.
We went to a fish farm today and picked up 100 4-6 inch HSB and added them to the pond .Hopefully they will out compete the GSF for pellets for a few months and maybe eat a few once they grow a little.
Will the HSB eat pellets until ice over?I am hoping to have them large enough to put up a fight in the Spring.
