snrub, some people from the depression period could do a lot with very little. But they got the job done. I will keep that trick in mind, there is always something that needs attention at the farm. Reminds me of the time I flew my airplane back from a Bahamas island jumping trip. Four of us made seven islands on that trip. Will, on the trip home the carb heat cable broke on the preflight and there were none to be had, so I did a duck tape repair and asked all to board the plane. My son who was also a pilot was not to thrilled about the job I did and was not to sure he wanted back on the plane
Made it back to Shreveport and did the correct repair. I can do a lot with duck tape and bailing wire. Both are always in my side by side. And essup there is no vegetation in the pond and no muskrat that I can find but I did find a beaver in the pond for one day during a period of no rain and the bayou was very low, he did not stay, guess he did not like the pond management. Not saying there is not one around but have never seen one or any activity. Highflyer taught me what to look for and how to trap one. I may need another reminder course my next trip to his place. I am still wondering what is slicing this heavyweight air line. Dam!!
