Andy G Joined: Sep 2016 Posts: 20 Oklahoma	Hello all. I have been reading PB Forum for months now and I now have a few questions of my own. I recently finished construction on my 1 acre pond. I stocked FHM about 3 to 4 weeks ago. I now have tons of baby fish about 1/4 to 1/2 inch long. Is it possible they are FHM fry? My neighbor has another 1/4 acre pond upstream that overflows down the creek to my new pond when it rains. Is it more likely that the small fish are baby LMB or BG fry from that pond? Thanks guys. Build it and they will come, whether you want them to or not.

The are either fry of BG or FHM. FHM egg gestation is only 5 days and as fractional spawners, females lay several thousand eggs a year. Lifespan is about a year also and the fry reach full size in about 90 days or so.
