Have a friend whose family constructed a 44-acre lake in southeast Michigan 20-30 years ago. There are currently 5 seasonal homes on the lake. A developer is planning a 27 structure condo project across the road. There will be a 50-foot vegetative buffer, but all homes will have septic fields. A lake assessment has been completed but no hydrogeological assessment to model nutrient flux into the lake. I'm curious if anyone has experience with adverse impacts from similar developments. Would be happy to provide additional details on lake water quality. My friend is currently looking for an expert to review the lake report and possibly refute the claim that the development will have "zero" impact.
