Ok so dad and I put I think 8 or 9 GC in our pond about a year ago. Would they by now have any growth to them? Also been wanting to try and fish for them what do you use for bait?

How large were they when stocked? Mine grew at a amazing rate, but we also had a good patch of chara plants. Baits are dough balls, had really good luck with vanilia flavoring dough with chexmix and a treble hook on a bobber or on the bottom.

The answer is "it depends". It depends on how much food they have to eat. I stocked TGC in different ponds at a clients place. One pond had lots of plants, the other one didn't. Even though the pond with lots of plants has 3x the TGC as the other one, it's TGC are still almost twice as big.

Oh yeah I stocked 6 GC in 2010 I had 60 percent chara coverage and pond weed I now have a couple that are at least 3 feet. I kid you not one we nick named Nessee (sp) as its so big!! but all have grown well over 2 feet and they were stocked at 10 to 12 inches. Wont be long and I will have to get rid of them....
