I am looking at homes with acreage and plan to build a fishing pond. Is a 2 acre lot (w/ house) big enough to support a successful fishing pond? What size pond would be adequate for a 1 1/2 acre back yard? Are there issues like water pipes etc. that can be damaged when digging? Can ponds affect neighbors with overflow etc.? Should i be looking for a bigger lot if i want a really nice pond? Thanks
