Feeding the fish increases their poundage in the pond based on the amount of food available. It makes them dependent on an 'outside the pond' food source. More food = more fish weight and/or numbers depending on the balance of prey and predator. If you stop feeding or feed less food, the number of fish should be reduced to achieve a balance of the amount of food available for number/size of fish if you want a healthy, well sized fish community. The proper balance or 'adjustment' of prey to predator has to do with your management style or efforts. Your task is to monitor the balance and adjust it when needed. We can help with the 'when needed' part if you have the angler's catch records.
