You are in the right place to learn everything you need and want to know about managing your pond. BTW 1/2 acre can be just the right size, depending on your goals.
If you like to fish, then spend quite a bit of time and energy catching fish from your pond and recording their sizes and weights. This will get you started. You may have goals right now; you may develop goals for your pond as you get to know it. The more particulars you can observe and pass on to the experienced people on this forum, the more help you will get. Don't be shy. All inquiries are treated with respect here. It's a great forum.
