Finished construction of dam in a holler over a spring head. 2 acres big and nearly 30ft deep. The guy doing the construction said that the large beautiful oaks at the very base of the dam shouldn't cause any problems so we left them. Now I have a progressive seepage around them causing me to lose water in this beautiful body of water. I am asking......I realize you can't stop a leak from the back side but is it possible to now uproot the dead oaks pulling the root system up and re pack with clay from the backside? Or do I have to tear the 100k dam down and start over, God forbid!!
