Whoever built the dam years ago was stupid and just pushed the organic material right into the dam. I had to pull Google Earth timeline back to 1998 to see it at full pool. Here is the start of the project at the start and then dug out. It is currently packed back in and compacted with that Case equipment 6 inches to a foot at a time. I have created a stair step beach area. and dug out a section that will end up being directly under my dock. You can see the black clay where the wood wrought and allowed the water to flow through under the dam.
God has blessed us with this day, what we do with it is up to us.
