http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/g357/Red61vette/image.jpg1_zpspw6bkwc4.jpg. I hope this picture works. I am trying to renovate a pond in Nebraska, the pond is approximately 1 acre in size. Several years ago it had fish but had a fish kill and now there is nothing in it. The depth varies from 11' down to 4'. The deepest part will cover 40% of the pond, 30% 6' and 30% down to 3'. The pond has a duckweed problem that is very bad. It is used foe cattle watering. The pond is fed from ground water, it is 300 yards from the plate river. Ammonia nitrogen 0.18mg/L. Total dissolved solids 627 mg/L. Dissolved oxygen 6.97 mg/L. Ph was 7.5 but sample was not on ice. What I am planning for short term fix on duck weed is to use pump (400 gal/min) to skim duckweed from pond and trap weed from running back into pond. If you can see picture pond is surrounded by trees. I am going to remove all branches from 10' down to try and get more Air movement. I would like any advice on a air system, muck cleanup, pond dye and duckweed removal. Thanks for your time and advice. Pond Boss subscription is getting ordered this weekend and can't wait.

Hey Kellyraya, it worked! But you can get closer as far as the photo showing up in your post.

This is what you're looking for on Photobucket:

If you highlight and copy the code in the "IMG" box and paste it in your post, the photo should show up.

And when you click on one of your photos, this box will show up on the right of your screen. If you put the little hand over the "IMG" box, it will automatically copy, then you can "paste" it in your message.

And, there may be a better way but it seems to work for me.

Regarding your post, I too had a major Duckweed (DW) problem. They will blanket your pond on a calm day and they reproduce VERY, VERY quickly! For me I used the chemical Fluridone but it's very expensive and a complete vegetation killer (possibly).

Hopefully the experts will be by soon to help address your questions.
