I've posted here in the past about my leaker..... With our recent heavy rains my pond is full for the first time in years & I guess it's inspired me to once again take up the cross of fixing the leak.....

Had my 3/4(surface)acre pond built nearly 40 years ago & it's leaked in the same area (thru the top half) of the dam since it was built. The leaking area measures about 6'W x 75'L. Once the water level drops below the leak it stabilizes, so I'm sure the basin is holding water. With my limited knowledge, it's always been my suspicion that the dam wasn't properly constructed when the pond was built.......

Original construction allowed for watershed filling the pond, but with our hill ground that quickly became a joke, so I had a spillway built in the north end with a small creek running into the pond at the spillway....

Guess my question is, would a liner (placed in the leaking area) stop the leak or would the entire pond have to be lined?

Search the thread on Soilfloc. You would only need a half unit.

The entire pond would have to be lined. I agree, do a search on SoilFlock and contact TJ.
