I was surprised to see FHMs in the most recent spill (April). The males had the ugly black spiky head spawning look going on.

Water clarity has been poor since the cattle had access last summer. I'm working on that now.

I understand that stocking was close together, but Todd Overton thought it was worth doing. My forage was doing excellent by the time I stocked the bass. Water clarity was great, algae bloom from fertilizing look great. As best I could tell some spawning occurred about a week before I added the bass.
