We had 14" of rain a few weeks ago.
We received 8" of rain Friday night.
The two events combined into a massive flash flood.
My 5 acre lake is built between 3 little mountains and the water over my spill way wiped out everything down stream. Culverts roads fences even knocked down trees.
The cleanup has been on going even since.
I was standing at one of the new culverts last night and noticed a little cloud of 100 or so 1/2" long fish.
Im betting they were from my first bass spawn.
That got me to thinking.
I wonder how many fish left with the flood water.
I added 150 HSB 3 days before the flood hit. I wonder if any decided to stay.
I have read a lot here about stocking X amount of this and X amount of that.
How does a fellow account for something like this?
It shocked my lake to the point the bream are not even eating the feed
