I might can swap you out some scallops this season.. Every now and then a good size snapper shows up at my door. We do not talk about the Red fish. I wonder what those Goliath Grouper taste like?

Hey Bill, post the recipe.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Swiss, thanks for the attachment posted on snakes, I forgot about the time I herd tail shaking or vibrating. I was walking down a creek and was looking for old pottery near an Indian mound on my place, when I herd this tail shakin sound. Like a rattle snake but no rattles, and when u hear it, you will, most likely know what it is. I am hard of hearing like most older men, but I herd the tail shaking, it was pretty loud, never saw the snake but I did realize what I was hearing and backed out slowly. I hate Water Mocs, they are Pissy and have a bad attitude and yep they are in some of the bottom land @ my place.

Ah shucks I think I mortally wounded a snake yesterday. I loaded chara etc I had raked out of one of my hatchery ponds before applying Cutrine Plus. When I went to unload the trailer the snake popped up. But I had apparently punctured him with one of the tines of the pitchfork and he had some of his insides hanging out.
I just hate killing any kind of wildlife!
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Cecil, know the feeling. When I hunted seriously it was almost always a concern of mortally wounding an animal that didn't get recovered and used and it happened. However, unlike greedy self centered humans Ma nature is most efficient. When an animal/mammal/fish is killed, somehow, somewhere down the line EVERY molecule of that being is used in a positive manner. As long as something is harvested (killed) in an accidental or well intentioned manner and not utilized by the predator there should be no guilt or self admonishment.
