I was jumped by a large 3-4 foot snake when walking the banks on Saturday. It was in the tall grass at the edge of the pond and luckily slithered immediately into the water. I could not identify as I was jumping back as fast as he was moving forward. What kind of snakes jump into the water outside of water snakes?
The tadpoles are 8-22" thick from the shore into the water all around the shores. Must be millions.
Caught my first fish from the pond on Saturday, 2 roughly 12" catfish which means in one year I got 5 inches of growth naturally. To small to eat but was good to see the sizing and growth.
I found a perch tail on the bank this morning, was far bigger than I expected about 2.5" tall on 6-7 inch perch I planted last fall. I am going to go after some perch and bass to see what kind of growth I have.
