We had some major rains and every pond around got muddy, even ponds I have never seen muddy before, got muddy. The other ponds have since cleared up but mine still is a red clay muddy color. It has cleared some but still very red, I guess you would called it stained. Any thoughts on this? I hate the red clay color even though the fish seem to be doing great. Any way to speed up getting rid of the very red tint of my water?

Slowing water down that runs over clay will also help. My problem was sand. I finally added brush piles to runoff draws and gullies to trap the sand. It made a big difference. It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color. Without a sense of urgency, Nothing ever gets done.
