Tons of these in my traps. Caught in a Creek in NE Indiana. I think they are a shiner but not sure what kind. Any ideas?

That's them! Some even have the tubercles noted. Are they a good forage base for perch if I threw them in a 1 acre pond?

They are pretty predatory after they get 5" eating lots of fish fry. Large ones will be 10"-12". They compete heavily by eating lots of with insect larvae competing mostly with panfish for food. They are a good live bait for catching bass and catfish.
