This is what I use off of my dock to record temperature. I have it only down about 3 feet. 61 Degrees today. http://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/minnkota-fishermans-air-amp-water-temp-sensor?a=443770I bought a hand full of them a year or two ago when BPS was selling them for around $4.00.
