any easy way to catch small bass??? i can't get the little suckers to bite!!!! a trap perhaps??? is that legal,,huuuhhh okay i mean?

my son and i have pulled nearly 75 lbs. of small bass out of my 7.5 acre lake this spring. small spinners in shallow water have been the most effective, followed closely by twitching a small top water minnow (crank-bait). we have also had good luck using both small plastics and live night-crawlers moved slowly along the bottom near structure. we've loved ever minute of it. classic for bass, one day we can't catch a thing, the next we'll catch 15. -jb

I agree - day in day out, a small spinner like a beatle spin catches the most bass - may not be large ones, but it catches the most - if you have clear water use a light colored spinner - if dark or low visability, use a darker colored spinner. It's a tough job but somebody's got to do it!
