Welcome to PBF!
My place sounds a lot like yours. We also have 6 acres. When they poured the foundation for the house the garage floor was 9 feet above grade! That takes a lot of dirt to back fill. One thought is you might consider two ponds to have some flexibility in the future. I wish I had gone that way.
