Pond Boss Forums INTRO Questions & Observations Hackers, Spammers, and Banning

We have been hit hard the past week to 10 days. I think it's averaged around 8-12 spammers per day that us moderators deleted posts and banned.

There is some discussion that an approval form might have to be filled out and looked at by a Moderator or an Administrator before the person can make their first post. A lot of other forums have gone that route, and it might be the way to go.

Typically somebody "in charge" is on the forum every 6-8 hours or less, so it wouldn't take a long time to be "approved". This would only be for new members.
