thank you! never knew that why it had that color because it trapped the light. GOOD NEWS!!! was told they started digging again today!!!
My smallest pond has similar soil color and also has similar looking water color. We have a glacial lake not far from here named Green lake. It has a 10-15' thick layer of red algae about 50 feet deep which creates the same effect, red is absorbed from the light that enters and the result is brilliant green looking water.
