Ok, I am almost done assembling the plywood tank, but I will be picking up the inhabitants (1 2inch Largemouth Bass, 10 Mudminnows) before it is finished. These fish will be kept in two 29 gallon glass aquariums I already have from past tropical fish setups. My question is, what should I be using for the bottom substrate? Right now, I am thinking either sand or regular aquarium gravel. However, the sand would be prettu heavy to fill up a 5 foot by 2 foot area, and the gravel might be easily inhaled by the bass. Also, for tank decor, I plan on using some local Elodea plants, sterilzed rocks, and treated wood. What to do?
