It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Hello Pond Members and Family. Thank you very much for the votes of confidence and kind, thoughtful words of praise. I try my best to share my aquatic biology and fishery knowledge with those interested to learn about managing their pond/s.
I am highly honored to be the first recipient of the Pond Boss Memorial Dr Dave Willis Legacy Award. Dr Dave was a valued cohort, friend, and mentor. He was an inspiration and wonderful example to me as an educator for this Forum and to all his students who all were privileged to learn from his extensive lessons and valuable fishery experiences. The fishery profession was considerably enhanced by Dr David Willis.
My hope is this Pond Management Forum continues on its path to provide the best information available for the challenges of managing private pond and lake resources.
Again - thank you very much for this honor and benefit you have awarded to me.

Hey Bill, nobody even came in second.

Bill, I believe I came in second cause I nominated me. Just don't think anyone wants to recognize my brilliance.

I have been waiting to praise Bill until others have said the tremendous words above. I want to take a different approach and think the best way is to ask you to look at his work (a very small part not the thousands of posts and countless hours he has devoted). Bill is the best and I am privileged to call him my friend , co-author , mentor and so much more. I need to say no more than look at his work in the linked thread. Congratulations are not enough but are especially warranted. http://forums.pondboss.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Main=20172&Number=259527#Post259527

Yep Bill is a tremendous asset to the site. He's even taught me a lot of things and has been known to consul me with his wisdom!
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Knowledge, and wisdom, are often priceless. And so many of us new/rookie pondmeisters have received generous portions of both from Mr Cody. Thanks and congratulations!
