Yes, definitely the idea is to take some out. Is there an advantage to stocking a single species, as opposed to a range of species. by a range I mean what I would imagine you would hope to find in a healthy ecosystem, bluegill, catfish, Bass. Or am I applying some misplaced assumptions to my thinking? Thanks for responding I'm excited to know I don'tjust have a huge garden pond. Just noticed today though the local Osprey got the biggest goldfish I've ever seen.
Just re-read your post, and you obviuosly say channel cats would be the easiest. so I'm guessing the others are a little more difficult.
