I plan to start on my garden shed within the next couple of weeks, it�s going to be a 24 x 30 pole barn/post & beam structure built using engineered steel trusses with a metal roof. I plan to enclose it with Hardi panels with board/batten to match the house. While I have the trencher rented, I would like to put in stuff for future projects that I plan within the next 1-2 years. Please take a look at the attached pic and tell me where I�m going wrong or things I have completely overlooked. Things on the pic are;

-Power coming from the house to the shed.
-Fiber optic and copper cable for coice & data is a bit much for a garden shed, but I plan to build a 40 x 60 shop just south of this shed in a couple of years, I�ll just extend these on from the shed.
-I plan to aerate the pond this year and have identified 3 each �� poly pipes to the edge of the pond to be extended to the diffusers via weighted line. Is �� overkill or is �� adequate?
-1 each �� poly to take fresh water to the dock.
-I plan to put in some variety of a RAS or grow-out tanks for growing forage. At this point I know very little about it, but I have included a 1� pond water intake and a 2� pond water return. Will this be sufficient?
-110 VAC power for the dock, I plan to build a screened gazebo at the head of the dock (one day) and will need a couple of outlets, lights and ceiling fans.
-I�ve included a �� poly air line for possibly an air lift pump. I THINK the pressure and volume requirements are about the same as that of a diffuser. I can push down a shallow 4� well pretty easy and pump ground water from 15-20�. Since I�ll be running a compressor for aeration, might this be 6-8K gallons of highly oxygenated water per day for almost free? Now tell me where I�m going wrong.

Anything else I should trench in for later use?

Something you may want to look into is you can qualify for a AG meter to be put in at the barn for Power. Here in Bama they Allowed me to put my well and pond stuff on a AG based Power meter. The benefits is that the AG KWH price is way cheaper than that of a residential meter KWH price. In my case it saves me several hundred annually. Also here there is no charge on the AG usage on the month that you do not need to use any Electrical.
For instance another little house on my property currently unoccupied used 342 Residential KWH at the cost of $66.45 last month.
MY last AG KWH bill was for 361 KWH at the cost of $31.51.

Just something that may be worth looking into as my low cost of usage quickly offset the initial cost. Not to mention you would be saying the money on the 175' of running wire.

Oh yea the Key wording here to AG qualify was I was planning to raise and sell fish and that was what this power usage would go towards helping me do.

Like the layout of your property and design for future projects. IMO adding another diffuser to your pond would provide more aeration to the whole pond. It looks like you have a zone that may have a lower amount of diffused oxygen. Size of tubing is going to be determined by overall length and size of compressor. Bill or Esshup might have some thoughts also on the system.

My pole barn project was one of my favorites. 36' x 40'. It took me three years to complete but I did it all without help of any kind. Like building the trusses and hoisting them by myself. I run 220 ac into the pole barn for welding and a shop in it. That was 35 years ago and I look at it now and wonder how in the heck did I do that.

TUMS � That was a great tip, Thanx! I met with the Engineer from the power company yesterday and they will put a new meter on the pole barn and give me 200A service for a flat rate of $125. Just the wire alone to run from the hosue was going to cost me about twice that. Looking at their website it seems like I will have to jump thru some hoops to get an Ag account setup, but I�ll delve into that in the next couple of weeks. Thanx again.

Joshua � That area that appears to be underserved, just east of the island and the small cove, are very shallow. I�m hoping to pull some of that water out of the shallows, but I�m prepared to move diffusers or add another as required. This is my first time so that�ll be part of the learning process.

John � I understand the need to do that, I�m a big fan of self sufficiency. I was going to do this by myself too, but my bride insisted that I get a helper, or someone I could help. She especially doesn�t want me on the roof, she doesn�t think this new hip I got last March is actually better than the old one ever was. I picked up the trusses last week and bolted up one just to double check measurements. A few years ago I would have balanced these things on my head and shimmed on up the ladder, but I�m not like that anymore.
