..... And I always did better when I fished on Bluebird days when fishing for crappie, they headed to brush piles on those days, I guess they liked the shade of the brush piles.

OK, TG did ya happen to see any willow leaves in the bellies when ya cleaned the fish? I ask because once a friend caught a bunch of nice YP on the last ice and they were full if Willow leaves. Don't know how they even found green willow leaves after months of hard water. Never made any sense to me but I saw pics. Bob, I never found any willow leaves in the fish, but the leaves of the willow would stay green under the water for at least 30 days and longer. we would sink these in 20 to 30' depths and that might put the top @ 10 to 15 foot. we sunk many a top in the lake (Sam Rayburn). Ceders, Sweet gums, Christmas trees. Till we learned the willows did best. We stayed with willows after that learning curve. Tracy

Tracy, that's interesting. It didn't surprise me ya didn't see any leaves. My friend is kinda weird and weird stuff usually happens to him.
Cecil, my apologies. I'm not a frequent visitor to Star wars wikia but after checkin it out that brew is something I might imbibe in from time to time. Gotta be better than Fallstaff.
PS Can we please limit ourselves to dictionaries of this universe?

Pat, after I made the suggestion of adding some willow tops, I made a trip to my pond, All the Willow trees were bare of leaves, My DumbArse, I did not think about the trees being bare of leaves, when I made the suggestion to u. This might not make u feel any better, but I have only caught ONE lmb in my pond since stocking, and I used to think I was a Great bass fisher  I am now giving much thought of shocking, just to see if the one I caught, is the only one in the pond. Sucks !! I whispered to the fish gods, I will let them go back, but that did not help Tracy

Maybe cause my water level went up 3' since last year and is not as clear as it was is why the Fish ain't biting. Just got to wait till spring sprungs I guess
