Is any body out there taking the easy way out as far as putting lime into a pond without ever having to touch it?I have read some of the post and I think I have a better way that might apeal to the ones that don't want to pay somebody to do this.My way is so simple I hate to even post it but here it is I build ponds to last and in that I always build sediment ponds in the run in areas I can lime these areas and with the next rain lime the whole pond has any body else tried this? If not give it a shot its alot easier than the normal method just a thought DOC

may work in Indiana Doc, but not down here. I have been to ponds where the owner cant keep a consistant bloom after liming around the edges with the lime truck. the truck can sling lime pretty far out but its not enough to cover the bottom. Of course our alk. and hardness are very low here. I was at a pond yesterday that had alkalinity of 11 ppm. have seen some 4 ppm
