Your idea as you've tested it, sounds like it could be an interesting option for southern ponds. Creative. The main draw back, if there is one, that I see is the flounder lies nestled in the bottom sediments as it's main habitat. Many freshwater ponds, even those aerated ponds, have anoxic H2S sediment at 1" depth and below in a majority of the pond's bottom area. This will limit the usable habitat for the unique bottom dwelling flounder.
