Today was our first full day with all the ponds covered in thin ice. It was 8F/-13C when I took the trash out to the main road this morning. It got to about a high of 30F/-1C this afternoon. I believe this is the coldest day we've seen since last winter.

This is the latest I've ever seen ice form. We still haven't seen any snow. Most years I start plowing snow in October. I mowed the lawn, and around two of the ponds, late last week. That too is a record for me, except during my Navy days in California and Hawaii.
