Some or many largemouth do not well tolerate super chilled water below 39F as well as some of the other fish species that you have in your pond. Some of the LMB winter low temperature susceptibility could be related to the genetic strain and 'hatch place' orgin of your LMB. LMB are prolific and the pond can usually tolerate some loss of a few LMB compared to a heavy winter fish kill without winter aeration. Natural selection always plays a role in each set of offspring of fish.
