Eric, I agree with Esshup. The downside to ducks in a pond is always greater than the benefits. The fouled water might be good for fertilizing plants but I don't know anything about that.
I do know that duck manure fouls ponds enough to kill fish. They essentially turn your picturesque pond into a sewer.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
