Sounds like you Kansas guys do it pretty much the way we did it when I was growing up on the farm in Indiana except we planted corn in early May. The couple times I remember us trying to double crop beans after winter wheat did not turn out well for us. Didn't get the rain when we needed it and ended up with 18 inch high plants and beans the size of BBs.
