Takes too long to get diagnosis and it's not a priority at Purdue. In fact Aquaculture there takes a back seat to forestry and other forms of agriculture. Never mind aquaculture is the fastest growing form of agriculture in the world, and the U.S. produces only about 2 percent of the fish it consumes.
As state aquaculture president I felt like I was banging my head against the wall.
Purdue got 20 million dollars bequeathed to them and was slated to get an aquaculture facilitator with a very small portion of that. Money went elsewhere and they didn't have the decency to tell our organization why. It never came up again.
