Pond Boss Forums INTRO Questions & Observations Officially Renaming a Private Lake or Pond

I have the same question. A prior owner of my property gave the main lake his own name and I would like to change it. On Google Earth, that name comes up over the lake. It's not a huge deal, but I would like to change from "Big _____'s Lake" to something more appropriate. If they can change Mt. McKinley to "Denali".....why not?
