Anyone dove hunt around their pond? If so, how big is your pond and what setup do you use best? Decoys?

Good question Cav
Wonder if those mojo decoys would work. Season opened today I think... Got to Get a license before popping any caps

I've used the mojo dove decoys for many seasons dove hunting, but they work very well for teal season too...

For the last two months I've seen many many Doves lined up on the tele wires and all over the fields. Yesterday I saw 6 total and I was workin outside most all day. What site informs them and many other tasty morsels when seasons come in?

I have been dove hunting since I was old enough to hold a gun.

Dove LOVE water with some very specific characteristics.

They love gentle banks, very open with sand edges, dirt and fine rocks. They do not care about depth but ease of access on the edges. Mojo work great around the pond.

I pump water from my big pond into a very small pond with the characteristics as above. It makes a great dove hole. Ponds work best in dry times as birds will forgo the trip to the pond if the water is easily found elsewhere.

hope this helps!
